New: Apple Watch LTE now also compatible
The Nuki app can be used on most smartwatches: Wear OS, Huawei Watch 3, Tizen, Garmin and now also the Apple Watch LTE. You could already open your door without having your iPhone in your pocket, but you had to be within Bluetooth range of your iPhone. Now, however, there is direct communication between the Apple Watch LTE and your Nuki devices, So you can open your door from anywhere with the push of a button on your wrist. This opens up many new possibilities in everyday life.
How it works
The Nuki Smart Lock is mounted on the inside of the door on the existing cylinder. In almost all cases, the door lock does not need to be modified for this. All you need to do is download the free Nuki app for iOS or Android on your smartphone and smartwatch and pair the Nuki app with the Smart Lock on your door, and your smart door lock is ready to use.
For remote control, a Nuki bridge is required. This allows you to connect the connected lock to your home’s Wi-Fi network. The latest Nuki Smart Lock 3.0 Pro has its own built-in Wi-Fi chip.
Nuki is now compatible from WatchOS 7. However, the Apple Watch series 1&2 (WatchOS 6 and older) are no longer supported.
